Now, more than ever, the SPCA's goal is to keep pets who are loved in their homes instead of a shelter. Many times basic needs such as vaccines and spay/neuter services, or even food for family pets, can be reasons people surrender pets to shelters. Sometimes, it's more complicated. There are bigger medical issues that arise and even pet deposits that cause families to surrender their loved pets. With YOUR help, we can keep more pets and people together through our Community Pet Project.
